Without a peace agreement 2016 is going to be a blood bath in Afghanistan
General John Campbell the head of NATO and US forces in Afghanistan have said in an exclusive interview with the BBC that without a peace agreement in 2016 there is going to be a blood bath in Afghanistan.
General Campbell added that the Afghan government and the Pakistani government are trying to come with a peace plan before the spring offensive and before the weather gets warmer. He also added that 2015 was a bad year for us all in Afghanistan and we are getting near the fighting season in 2016.
The third four nation peace talks are around the corner which is being hosted by the Pakistani government in Islamabad. The main aim of the third round talks will be to create a route for peace between the Taliban and Afghan government.
General Campbell added that in 2015 not enough work and efforts was put in towards for peace and this why 2016 is going to be a blood bath in Afghanistan.
In this critical time General Campbell’s mission is over and he will be replaced by a more experience man called General John Mc Nickelson.
